Welcome to a golf and baseball mecca
Professional sports organizations and recreational leisure markets both bring big economic impact to Palm Beach North.
In golf, along with the world-renowned PGA National, home to Honda Classic, the Medalist and the Bear’s Club, 35 PGA players live and raise families in Palm Beach North. Their combined influence has spurred top courses, high-profile tournaments, respected academies, plus numerous businesses and service providers, elevating the region into a leading Southeastern U.S. golf mecca.
The area is also renowned for both major and minor league baseball.
The Roger Dean Stadium is the only facility in Florida to host two Major League Baseball teams annually for spring training: the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals. More than 155,000 out-of-town fans attend the 30-game, three-week spring break period to watch and interact with their favorite players.
It’s also the only stadium in the U.S. to host four minor league teams, with 140 minor league games played here annually:
The Jupiter Hammerheads of the Class A-Advanced Baseball Florida State League
The Palm Beach Cardinals of the Class A-Advanced Baseball Florida State League
The Gulf Coast Marlins of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League
The Gulf Coast Cardinals of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League
Roger Dean is also the site for national 14 & under and 17& under youth tournaments, drawing hundreds of talent scouts and providing invaluable visibility for promising young athletes.
Year-round sunshine and an abundance of protected land/waterways have created a booming recreational sector, ranging from national companies marketing global product lines to local, service-based businesses.
